In Darrick Fuentes's blog he discuss the over exaggeration the media had during the Ebola "outbreak" and although I do agree with him that the media did over hype it a tad, the "forcing" of individuals out of their homes in order to be treated is justified as Mr. Spock once said "The needs of the many outweigh the needs few." Living in a democracy governed by the few but ruled by the many this applies to a lot of the decisions that are made in America.
"Ebola then spreads through human-to-human transmission via direct contact (through broken skin or mucous membranes) with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected people, and with surfaces and materials (e.g. bedding, clothing) contaminated with these fluids." This also includes sweat so what if and this is just a what if question, so what if you are in the early stages of being infected with Ebola virus and like me you sweat a lot our hands get sweaty and someone walks up to you and attempts to shake your hand some people may wipe off their hands before said shake others may not. That example right their is enough is right their enough to make you think twice about your hygiene even though we are more advanced technologically and medically in comparison to Africa this does not mean we cannot also be as easily broken especially when dealing with diseases.
Finally, Darrick is right though the media did blow this a bit out of proportion by making this seem more terrifying then what it was if the media did its job right the could have simply went on informed everyone of the situation and provided precautions to take in order to avoid infection
